Volunteers play an active role in the development of the actuarial profession in South Africa. Below is some of the reasons why you should consider to volunteer with ASSA:

Volunteer Opportunities

The Society presents several opportunities to get involved as a Volunteer.
These include:

  • Serving on a board, committee or working group
  • Involvement in the Practice Areas and new development for the profession
  • Participate in various research opportunities
  • Involvement and participation with Education development; courses and exams
  • Contribute to development of course material, exam papers and other material required within Education
  • Assist as a Supervisor or Assessor for the Work Based Learning programme
  • Participation in ad hoc projects and growth opportunities as advertised from time to time
