Practising Certificates

In terms of an agreement between the Actuarial Society and the Financial Services Board, valuators of retirement funds must hold valid practising certificates, issued by the Actuarial Society. Individuals who wish to apply for approval as valuators should obtain the relevant practising certificate from the Actuarial Society, and submit the original, or a certified copy, to the FSB, together with the duly completed application forms.

The Retirement Matters Committee appointed a subcommittee that considers all applications for practising certificates. A certificate is issued only when the subcommittee has approved the application.
