The Treating Customers Fairly Committee (TCFC) was established with the intention of monitoring industry developments pertaining to the fair treatment of customers and identifying relevant issues that may require further investigation.
The main objectives of the committee are as follows:
- To establish the means of communication between the TCFC and members of the profession both in terms of communicating from the TCFC and how members and other stakeholders could raise matters for consideration by the TCFC
- To ensure effective collaboration between the TCFC and practice area committees
- To serve as the principle conduit for the Actuarial Society of the regulators’ development of a TCF regulatory approach
- To continue to address specific TCF matters of concern which have been and continue to be identified
