Migration

Your academic record on the Actuarial Society of South Africa (AS) database has now been populated by the Education Office with all the information available to us. The sources of information used were:

· Migrated data from the UK Profession (where you are/were a student member of the UK

Profession)

· Applications for exemptions as received by the Actuarial Society Education Office

· Credits for courses completed through the Actuarial Society

Confirm your academic record

It is essential that you confirm the accuracy of the information on the education section of the database. Please confirm your records or submit any queries as soon as possible or before 5 March 2010.

Delays in responding to your queries

The Education Office will endeavor to keep you updated with follow-up reporting of your queries.

Please be patient with replies because there are approximately 1 500 student records.

Note: Please report all discrepancies in the comment box provided on the website as directed below. Please refrain from sending emails or contacting us telephonically as we will not be able to attend to these. You will be notified to recheck your records once corrections have been made.

Process if you miss the deadline

After the verification deadline on 5 March 2010, you will have to submit a full application to the Education Office for entering subject credits to your record. This includes submitting original full documentation as necessary evidence of pass credits. You will also have to contact the UK Profession personally if inconsistencies do exist or if you do not have copies of the necessary documentation.

Changing your password

In order to log-in for the first time you will have to follow the “forgot your password” instructions. A password will be sent to your email. Please ensure that you do not delete this email. Please use the email address that this mail has been sent to for your lost-password request.

Work Based Skills

Your history of Work Based Skills (WBS) was not part of the data migration process. Please register WBS (also retrospectively as per the requirements on the website:

http://www.actuarialsociety.org.za/Education/Professional-Requirements/Work-Based-Skills-506.aspx)
